MARC Historical Milestones

April 22, 2012

First meeting of the group that would become MARC, attended by Dr. Michelle Nemec, Emily Hunter, Amy Oakley, Fallon Jones, Wendy Underwood, Lisa Dragoo, and Cindy Grones.

May 16, 2012

MARC officially introduces itself at its first Public Meeting.

June 7, 2012

McLennan Animal Rescue Coalition files for 501(c)(3).

July 8, 2012

MARC Board members drive to Austin to learn from the best at Austin Pets Alive!

MARC is 501(c)(3) status is approved by the IRS.

Sept. 11, 2012

MARC delivers a packet to Waco City Hall with information about the No-Kill equation, local animal resources, and a request for a meeting with City leaders.

Nov. 29, 2012

The first meeting between City leaders and the newly formed Waco Animal Alliance.

Feb. 22, 2013

MARC makes its 100th "11th Hour Save" from the Waco animal shelter.
