MARC Historical Milestones

April 22, 2012: First meeting of the group that would become MARC, attended by Dr. Michelle Nemec, Emily Hunter, Amy Oakley, Fallon Jones, Wendy Underwood, Lisa Dragoo, and Cindy Grones.
May 16, 2012: MARC officially introduces itself at its first Public Meeting.
June 7, 2012: McLennan Animal Rescue Coalition files for 501(c)(3).
July 8, 2012: MARC Board members drive to Austin to learn from the best at Austin Pets Alive!
Aug. 31, 2012: MARC is 501(c)(3) status is approved by the IRS.
Sept. 11, 2012: MARC delivers a packet to Waco City Hall with information about the No-Kill equation, local animal resources, and a request for a meeting with City leaders.
Nov. 29, 2012: The first meeting between City leaders and the newly formed Waco Animal Alliance.
Feb. 22, 2013: MARC makes its 100th "11th Hour Save" from the Waco animal shelter.
Dec. 19, 2013: MARC makes its 300th "11th Hour Save" from the Waco animal shelter.
Sep. 13, 2014: MARC makes its 500th "11th Hour Save" from the Waco animal shelter.
Mar. 05, 2016: MARC makes its 800th "11th Hour Save" from the Waco animal shelter.
Oct. 06, 2016: MARC makes its 900th "11th Hour Save" from the Waco animal shelter.
Feb. 2013, 2014 and 2015: Several MARC Board members attend the 3-day American Pets Alive conference in Austin, TX.
May 2016: MARC Board members attended the 3-day Texas Unites conference in Austin, TX.
